How to sign a document with MSign
The steps for signing and verifying a PDF on msign.gov.md — and what e-doc changes when a company signs contracts and deeds every day.
In short
To sign a document with MSign, open msign.gov.md, click „Semnează” (Sign), upload the PDF, choose the electronic signature you have (mobile, electronic ID card or USB token) and confirm with your PIN; then download the signed PDF. MSign is Moldova's government electronic signature service. e-doc is a private Intelectsoft platform that uses MSign for a company's documents: editing, approval flows and a sealed archive.
What you need first
- An active electronic signature. Moldova has three options: the mobile signature (activated at Orange or Moldcell, valid for 2 years), the electronic ID card with a signature (Public Services Agency, no extra cost for the signature) and the USB token (semnatura.md, 485 MDL for 2 years, per evo.gov.md at the time of publishing).
- The document as a PDF. MSign signs and verifies PDF files only; save a .docx or .xlsx as PDF first.
- The recipient's agreement to accept electronically signed documents.

When a company signs every day: MSign through e-doc
For an occasional document, msign.gov.md is enough. When a company signs dozens of contracts, deeds and internal approvals, the real work is around the signature: preparing the document, who signs in what order, where the signed original is kept. e-doc handles this in one place without replacing MSign — the signature remains the qualified MSign signature:
- the document is written in the browser (Word/Excel) and sent for signing from the same page;
- each signer gets a notification in the mobile app and signs with MSign from the phone;
- the signed document goes straight into the sealed archive, with a complete audit log;
- one flat price: 500 MDL per month per organisation, unlimited users and documents.
